I disappeared for 29 days...
You can tell the search party to go home. I'm back.

Day ???/100
Hey—It's Tim.
It’s been quiet in here. Four weeks quiet…
That wasn’t the plan. But if I’m being honest with you—and myself—it was necessary.
Kinda three main reasons.
The "Wave 3" Reality Check We just dropped the biggest update in Penfriend’s history (Wave 3). Like every optimistic founder, I thought we’d wrap it up quickly. Like every realistic founder knows, I was wrong.
I never learn. The sheer volume of work to get this right took everything I had.
The 280-Email Realization The silence gave me a moment to look back at the 280+ daily emails I’ve sent over the last year.
The truth? I’m only proud of about 20 of them.
Maybe 20 of them felt amazing. Maybe 20 of them felt like me. The rest? They felt like I was rushing just to say I hit "send."
I hate rushing. And I hate the feeling of sending you something mediocre just to fulfill a daily quota. You deserve better, and frankly, the product we are building deserves better storytelling.
The numbers tell a story as well. Long story short, from a percentage’s point of view, anyone who will buy from me on this list, already has. And if I want to make more money, and make Penfriend more successful, and I do. I need to focus my content creation efforts on growing the list. Pretty simple from a business pov.
So, I’m changing the rules.
Effective immediately, I am stopping the daily newsletter.
I’m dropping the frequency to 2-3 times a week. Why? Because I want every single email to be a "banger." No filler. No fluff. Just high-leverage strategy and deep dives that I am actually proud to sign my name to.
But I didn’t just delete the last year of work.
I went back into the archives with a scalpel. I cut the fluff. I deleted the "daily grind" filler. And I extracted the pure signal from emails that actually hit the mark.
I’ve compiled them into a new resource: The Protocols of Content Strategy.
Think of it as a searchable library of the frameworks, mental models, and SOPs that actually drive growth - without the noise.
I want to start this new era as I mean to go on: by giving you the highest leverage assets I have. In the next email.
"But I liked the daily updates..."
Don't worry, the daily rhythm isn't dying; it’s just moving to where it belongs.

Speaking of the new stuff...
The reason I’ve been burying myself in work is that Wave 3 is finally here.
I can hand-on-heart say that this version of the tool is literally the Penfriend I wanted to exist when we started 2.5 years ago. It took us a while to get here, but the quality is finally matching the vision.
I literally have the next two years of features planned out, but for now? We are pushing what we have, and I couldn't be prouder.
I hope you love it, too.
See you later this week for the first proper deep dive.

P.S. I’m literally dropping 3 new FREE products next week.
I’ve not been sat doing nothing for 4 weeks. Although, I did go skiing…
