Day 252/100
Hey—It's Tim.
Quick product update before the big one this week
I've done 8 product demos in the last week.
7 of them asked the same question:
"How does Penny calculate these title scores?"
Fair question. We were giving you numbers without showing our work.
So we fixed it.
What's new:
Hover over any title score in Penny—you'll see exactly why you got that number.

See that tooltip on title #2?
"Truthful, detailed, and tailored for seasoned travelers seeking reliability and clarity; human intention is clear."
That's why it scored 89/100 for it’s readability score.
Not just "it's good" — but what specifically makes it good.
Now you can:
See why one title outscores another
Fix weak spots without guessing
Learn what patterns work for your niche
You can hover over any of the numbers. It’ll tell you why we gave it that score.
Quick one today because I'm shipping Wave 2 this week and haven't slept much.
But I saw something yesterday that made me want to shake someone.
A client published their best post in months.
Great hook. Actual examples. Downloaded template. 47 people grabbed it in the first hour.
Then... nothing.
No traffic spike. No ranking bump. No distribution.
The post died alone.
Here's what they forgot:
Google (and Perplexity, and ChatGPT search) don't just rank isolated content anymore. They rank connected content.
The 3-Link Rule:
Link TO 2 older related posts (shows topical authority)
Go UPDATE those 2 older posts to link BACK to your new one (creates a content cluster)
Share the new post + mention which old posts you updated (gives people 3 things to read, not one)
Time investment: 12 minutes. Traffic impact: 3x the reach in week one.
If you wanna push it even further. My target is 8.
A page goes live with 8 internal links.
Do this today:
Pick your most recent post. Open it.
Add 2 contextual links to older posts you've written on related topics.
Then open those 2 older posts and add a link back: "Update: I just wrote a deeper dive on [topic]. Check it out here."
Boom. You just created a mini-cluster.
Now when Google/Perplexity crawls your site, they see: "Oh, this person has 3+ pieces of interconnected content on this topic. They're an authority."
vs.
"Oh, this is one random post. Cool story bro."

Same brain, different platforms: X, Threads, LinkedIn.
P.S. One of the easiest ways you can win is more internal links.
I’ve said it for years and I keep getting proven right.
People spend $25K chasing backlinks. Internal links do the same job. You already own them.
